Its most distinctive feature \nwas an exceptionally elongated dorsal fin composed of \nnumerous fin rays, forming a unique body configuration. \nCompared with modern acipenseriform fishes, Yanosteus\nretained more ancestral skeletal features of early \nacipenseriforms and preserved primitive characteristics in \nstructures such as its fin rays. This taxon provides \nimportant evidence for understanding the early evolution, \nmorphological transformation, and freshwater ecological \nadaptations of acipenseriform fishes.",
